Pinecrest has a new king in the form of a massive Polynesian estate that just sold for a whopping $7.4 million, a record-shatterer for the neighborhood, according to a spokesperson for listing agent Marianna Dubinsky of Brown Harris Stevens.

The buyer: Miami Heat guard Dion Waiters, according to the The Real Deal.

The mammoth home measures a surreal 17,714 square feet, which placed it on our map featuring the largest single family homes across Miami. The largest home on the market in Miami is a little over 21,000 square feet.

“This is one the most luxurious properties in all of north Pinecrest,” Dubinsky said. “This is opulent living at its best.”

The residence, which was developed by Pioneer Inter-Development’s Frank Mendez, has nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, 20-foot ceilings, three sprawling master suites, large indoor and outdoor kitchens, and high-end appliances. Interestingly enough, two other Mendez-built homes were the previous record-holders in Pinecrest.

The property had previously sold for $1.5 million in 2013 before the current home was constructed. Nancy Bernstein and Jonathan Garcia of ONE Sotheby’s represented the buyer.
