The Curbed Cup, our annual award for Miami’s neighborhood of the year, is kicking off with 16 neighborhoods vying for the prestigious (fake) trophy. The Final Four begins Wednesday.
After a huge upset in Round 1—No. 13 Sunset Harbour edged No. 4 Surfside—the favorites all advanced in the Elite Eight.
Our tightest matchup of the second round was predictably in the northeast region as No. 3 Brickell slipped pass No. 6 Coconut Grove by a 14-point margin. Our biggest blowout was No. 5 Downtown dismantling No. 13 Sunset Harbour by a 40-point margin.
The Final Four, which begins Wednesday, features four of the five highest seeds. Return next week for what should be a fun and competitive battle among Miami’s most popular neighborhoods.
