Fort Lauderdale home of race car driver Hélio Castroneves lists for $3M

Brazilian race car driver and Dancing With the Stars veteran Hélio Castroneves just placed his waterfront Fort Lauderdale home on the market for $2.89 million.

The modern residence is located on Seven Isles Drive and includes over 5,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space. It has five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, gated entry, and a custom chef’s kitchen.

Records show he purchased the home for $1.1 million in 2011 and also owns the property next door. A spokesperson says he plans to build a new home valued at over $7 million.

Castroneves, a three-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, won Season 5 of Dancing with the Stars with partner Julianne Hough and returned for another appearance in Season 15, though he would be voted off in the third week. He currently ranks fourth in the IndyCar Series.
