Florida lake home with full-blown waterpark heads to auction

There are plenty of Florida homes for sale with backyard waterslides but not nearly as many in the mold of this Lake Placid fun palace with a waterpark in the backyard.

Heading to auction without reserve on February 11 with DeCaro Auctions, the 7,127-square-foot home is equipped with a resort-style pool with beach entry, waterfalls, a swim-up tiki bar, 70-foot waterslide, grotto, and summer kitchen.

It sits on five acres inside a gated horse-friendly community and has five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. Additional features include Italian marble floors, hand-carved archways, and an office with a fireplace. There’s also a 3,000-square-foot detached garage and nearby riding trails.

The property was most recently asking just under $1.5 million, making it the most expensive home for sale in the area.
