The “Peacock House” in Coconut Grove just sold for $850,000 ($453 per square foot) to a buyer who will preserve the 1,876-square-foot gem booming with character and featuring a fantastic and unique limestone wall across the front of the property.

Built in 1936, the home has two bedrooms, two bathrooms and is located at 2815 Crystal Court. The renovated property also boasts dense, tropical landscaping that includes a huge banyan tree.

“The home had a lot interest,” says listing agent Roque Castro of Douglas Elliman, “but ultimately it was important to the seller to find someone who understood the home’s architecture and appreciated their renovation to preserve the home and the character of the neighborhood. We feel we found that buyer.”

The property previously sold for $430,000 in 2013.
