Miami’s dating scene is uneven, study says

A recent study by Apartment List shows men are significantly more satisfied than women in terms of Miami’s dating scene.

Their findings show 49 percent of Miamians overall are satisfied “with their dating opportunities,” which ranked 14th among the 30 metros studies. However, 64 percent of males registered positive responses compared to just 43 percent of females.

Their methodology was rather simple, polling 13,000 renters nationwide with one question: “How would you rate your current city or neighborhood for opportunities to date and make friends?” The multiple-choice question could be answered by the following:

• Very Unsatisfied
• Somewhat Unsatisfied
• Neutral
• Somewhat Satisfied
• Very Satisfied

Men were more satisfied nationally but the 51-47 margin (men’s satisfaction-women’s satisfaction) was much smaller than Miami’s huge 21-point margin.

Raleigh, San Antonio, and Boston featured the most satisfactory dating scenes overall.
