This interesting beachfront mansion became Pompano Beach’s most expensive home for sale when it listed yesterday asking $7.995 million.
Located at 2306 Bay Drive, the 8,543-square-foot home is three stories and was built in 2004. It has five bedrooms and six bathrooms. The unique Mediterranean estate sits on a one-acre lot on the Hillsboro Inlet and is a football throw from the Atlantic Ocean.
Outside of the spectacular views, other features of the home include custom millwork, a gourmet kitchen, media/billiards room, full gym, and a resort-style heated pool with a hot tub, summer kitchen, and tree-themed water slide.
Among it’s most unique offerings, however, is what looks like a children’s bedroom with life-size knights armor and a painted portrait of Gollum from the Lord of the Rings trilogy (see the first image below).
There’s also direct beach access through the backyard and the property last sold for $7 million back in July of 2014.
