Tennis sensation Eugenie Bouchard is among four recent penthouse buyers at 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, which is among one of the more popular hotels in Miami Beach.

Currently ranked No. 53 in the world, the Canadian-born Bouchard has a scheduled match in the Round of 128 this afternoon in the Miami Open. The two-bed, two-bath unit measures up at a little over 1,800 square feet and offers sunset views. Bouchard told The National Post she spent about a year searching for her new home.

“As an athlete, it was extremely important for me to find a place that was aligned with the way I live and want to continue living my life, which is why I was immediately drawn to the property,” Bouchard said. “The natural aesthetic blends seamlessly into the health-inspired atmosphere.”

“Genie is a beautiful, talented young lady who I truly enjoyed working with on this transaction and all the others I've had the privilege of handling for her in the past,” added Katrina Campins of Trump International Realty.

The sale closed towards the end of 2016, before Bouchard made an interesting headline after the Super Bowl for agreeing to go on a date with a random Twitter follower after losing a bet.

Three additional penthouse sales in Q1

Meanwhile, three additional penthouses at 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach have closed in the first quarter of 2017, totaling around $14.5 million in sales.

The largest sale of the trio, Penthouse 1717, offers 3,278 square feet of living space, nearly 2,000 square feet of terrace, and closed at $6.975 million — the initial ask was $8.66 million.

Penthouse 1606, a 1907-square-foot residence with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, closed at $4 million this week, while Penthouse 1621 (1,965 square feet, two bedrooms, and two and a half bathrooms) closed less than a month ago for $3.5 million.

Amenities at the hotel include the Bamford Haybarn and the new Spartan Gym. Penthouse 1717 is pictured below.
