It’s been a rough winter for Miami residents this year. Can you believe it dipped all the way down to 52 degrees last week? In March!

Actually, outside of the very select days with sub-60-degree temperatures, there was record-breaking heat in Miami these past few months, becoming the warmest winter season by more than half of a degree, according to John Morales, NBC Miami’s Chief Meteorologist.

Miami’s average temperature this meteorological winter (from December 1st to February 28th) was 74.2 degrees. Astronomical winter ended March 20th but you wouldn’t know it in Cleveland, where temperatures will dip into the low 20s this evening.

Another fun fact of our warming climate, via Morales, shows that out of the 90 days this winter, Miami saw a record-setting 69 of them reach 80 degrees or higher.

Let’s reflect back on the winter that was through ten amazing aerial photos of Miami, found swirling around Instagram these past few months.
