Back in March when we ran through Miami’s 10 most expensive homes for sale, Buena Vista in Key Biscayne came in at No. 9 with its $36 million price tag.

However, the property was reduced to $33 million recently, pushing it outside of the Top 10.

The pinnacle of the magnificent estate sitting on 1.4 acres on Harbor Drive is unequivocally its 720 feet of water frontage. Its an imposing and unparalleled figure for the 14,739-square-foot home owned by Michael Cohl, a big-hitting mogul in the music industry who happens to be the former Chairman of Live Nation.

The tropical grounds enveloping the compound evoke an aura typically found at five-star resorts in the Caribbean. There’s an open-air cabana house, 16-seat movie theater, and a tennis/basketball court. Additional highlights include a saltwater pool and spa, private beach, multiple docks, and an open grass plot for potential helicopter landings, of course.

The home was pending sale in February until health issues derailed the buyer from closing the deal, according to listing agent Billy Nash of The Nash Group with The Keys Company.

"960 Harbor Drive has allowed its owners to enjoy the ultimate in privacy and tropical beauty," Nash said. “Rush-hour traffic on the property’s private beach consists of dolphins, manatees and tropical fish.

"The property overlooks Bill Baggs’ 400-acre state park and the owners feel like they have a private bird sanctuary."
