Welcome to Miami’s Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount across various South Florida neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out!

Today, we’re working with $2,400, which was last month’s median asking price for two-bedroom residences in Miami.

Our requirements are a minimum of two bedrooms and a location within one of the following five neighborhoods in Miami-Dade: Kendall, Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater, and South Beach.

Previous rental budgets include $1,200, $3,000, and a whopping $10,000.

Kendall: 7511 Southwest 109th Avenue #7507

$2300

Here’s a completely renovated 1,336-square-foot townhome near Kendall Indian Hammocks Park with a wide-open layout, modern finishes, three bedrooms, and three bathrooms.

It has two stories and includes a cool shaded deck out back with a grill and sink.

Brickell: 31 Southeast Fifth Street

$2475

Here’s a two-two at Brickell on the River with a water view and over 1,100 square feet of living space.

Downtown: 133 Northeast 2nd Avenue #3012

$2500

This two-bed, two-bath is on the 30th floor of Loft 2 and a block away from Bayfront Park. It’s 1,036 square feet, has stainless steel appliances, and a large balcony.

Edgewater: 1900 North Bayshore Drive #2913

$2500

If you want to live in Edgewater, this location cannot be beat. A waterfront park lies directly to the east and a Publix is a block to the west.

This 1,239-square-foot unit at Quantum on the Bay has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and bay views from throughout the unit. Warning: The Yelp reviews are not kind to this building.

South Beach: 1500 Bay Road #N135

$2500

One of the largest residences on this list is this 1,350-square-foot unit with two bedrooms and two bathrooms at the Flamingo offering bay views and one month’s free rent.
