Welcome to Miami’s Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent or buy for a set dollar amount across various South Florida neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out!
While last week’s Curbed Comparisons focused on rentals around $2500 a month, this week’s edition is catered for heavy hitters and dreamers, focusing on lavish penthouses found across Miami-Dade County.
We plucked a couple from Sunny Isles Beach, a couple from Miami Beach, and one from one of Zaha Hadid’s final projects before her passing.
The budget is $21 million and we start from the north.
Sunny Isles Beach: Porsche Design Tower #PH4401
This two-level penthouse encompassing the 44th and 45th floors of the brand-new Porsche Design Tower features stunning ocean views, 22-foot ceilings, a private pool, summer kitchen, and four-car garage inside the unit with a glass window.
Sunny Isles Beach: Muse Sunny Isles #UPH
This upper-penthouse residence in Muse, which topped off in January, offers a sensational rooftop terrace with panoramic views; 14-foot ceilings, and a private elevator.
We featured the lower penthouse here.
Mid-Beach: Beach House 8
The penthouse that sold for $14 million last summer is back on the market.
It’s highlighted by a 6,000-square-foot rooftop deck with a hot tub and views of the beach and ocean.
South Beach: 1 Hotel & Homes #PH1610
Initially $16 million when we featured this magical home last Fall, this duplex penthouse is located within one of the hottest hotels in South Beach.
Downtown Miami: One Thousand Museum #PH?
Okay, so we cheated a little with this incredible residence coming in a bit over the budget if the $20.48 million price tag from a month ago remains accurate. But it’s Zaha Hadid!
The 10,000-square-foot residence entails the entire 53rd floor of the under-construction jewel in downtown Miami.
Which penthouse would you buy?
