While a chunk of our nation is still experiencing winter-like temperatures this spring the same cannot be said for Miami, which could feel some record-breaking heat this week.
Thursday’s forecast is currently projecting a high of 91 degrees, according to The Weather Channel, which would come within striking distance of the record-high 92 degrees set for that day in 2009, per the Miami Herald.
The UV Index is also scorching — a 10 of 10 and evidenced by the tomato-red tourists seen trekking around South Beach. So be sure to cover up and whip out the sunscreen.
However, that surge isn’t expected to last very long, with temperatures projected to drop into the 70s and 60s into the weekend.
