Coconut Grove residents, beware—there’s a mountain banshee from the world of Pandora terrorizing CocoWalk.
The mesmerizing street art depicting one of Avatar’s coolest creatures mid-flight was created by Team 3D to promote the opening of Pandora, The World of Avatar at Disney World, which debuts this weekend in Orlando at Animal Kingdom and was inspired by the 2009 film directed by James Cameron. It’s kind of like what Universal did with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
In the movie, bonding with the banshee—spoiler alert—was a required rite of passage for Na'vi warriors.
CocoWalk posted about their newest resident on their Instagram account, saying it’d be up for a month while writing “we have a portal to Pandora, Walt Disney World's newest land in Animal Kingdom!” Coconut Grove’s main shopping center also recently announced a major renovation, which is set to begin this summer.
