A famous artist purchased his second unit at The Setai, Miami Beach, as Chuck Close closed on a 1,316-square-foot residence with ocean views for $3.4 million, according to Realtor.

The newly renovated corner unit has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and is currently enrolled in the income-producing hotel rental program, according to listing agent Lourdes Gutierrez of Compass. The views are pretty spectacular and diverse, showcasing the Atlantic Ocean, sparkling sands of South Beach, and sunsets to the west.

As an award-winning photographer and painter, Close is known for his photorealist portraits. Among the his past subjects are a couple of presidents—Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

Close’s newest Setai residence was originally asking $4.2 million back when it hit the market in January of this year. The priciest unit for sale in the building is this sensational $15 million townhouse.

Close’s unit is pictured below, followed by several Instagram photos of his work.
