Icon Las Olas is looking to shake up downtown Fort Lauderdale’s rental scene when the luxury building finally opens its doors this fall.
Not only is it Fort Lauderdale’s tallest building when it topped off at 455 feet last January but it’s also going to be among the most expensive apartment buildings in all of South Florida with rents ranging from $2,500 to $7,000 a month.
Those are South of Fifth prices. Sieger Suarez Architects’ other Icon project—Icon South Beach—actually sits in the aforementioned neighborhood (it’s a condo with rentals starting at $3,400).
It’ll be interesting to see if the project proves to be successful, considering median rents in Fort Lauderdale are currently $1,550 and $1,900 for one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, respectively.
Co-developed by The Related Group, Rabina Properties, and Perella Weinberg Partners, the 272-unit development began leasing at the beginning of June. It also has a lengthy history, having launched as a condo way back in 1995.
Outfitted with Interiors by Steven G., Icon Las Olas unveiled new renderings of its common spaces, which can be seen below.
