Affiliated Development received approval for $7 million in funding by Fort Lauderdale’s Community Redevelopment Agency for SIX13, an 11-story mixed-use project that includes 142 workforce apartments starting at $1,100 a month for one-bedroom units.
Located in the Northwest Progresso Flagler Heights neighborhood at 613 Northwest Third Avenue, the development also entails 8,300 square feet of ground-level retail and a parking garage with 206 spaces.
SIX13 was designed by Rinka Chung Architecture, with amenities including a rooftop pool deck, fitness center, community room, and concierge service.
“This project is very near and dear to my heart,” notes Jeff Burns, CEO of Affiliated Development. “I’ve completed projects in other cities and to be able to deliver a project in the city that I live in is truly special. This type of development cannot occur without support from local government. City staff and elected officials have been amazing to work with and they recognize the significance The SIX13 will have on the community and the city’s residents.”
Construction is slated to begin in 2018.
