Retired big league pitcher Derek Lowe listed his Florida home in Fort Myers for $4.5 million, according to Realtor.
The two-time All Star’s residence has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and 8,157 square feet of living space. It oozes with character, with interior features like antique doors, wood floors, and beamed ceilings.
Additional details include a large gym, two pools, a custom bar, wine cellar, home theater, and a halfcourt basketball court. Lowe acquired the property, which sits next to a golf course, for $730,000 in 2006, a year before the current home was built.
In addition to eight seasons with the Boston Red Sox, he also played for the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Dodgers, Atlanta Braves, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees, and Texas Rangers.
Lowe won a World Series title in 2004 in his last year in Boston. He retired in 2013.
