This Georgian-inspired mansion in Fort Lauderdale’s Rio Vista neighborhood has become the most expensive listing in the city after asking $32 million upon returning to the market last Friday.
The 16,022-square-foot home located at 1600 Ponce De Leon Drive has been on and off the market over the last six years but hasn’t budged on price. It has eight bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and boasts 500 feet of water frontage.
Raymond Jungles designed the nearly two acres of gardens, with additional features including a beautiful home office, workshop, wine cellar under the stairs, an elevator, a club room with a bar, a six-car garage, and a guest house. Only a handful of Fort Lauderdale homes exceed its $1997 per-square-foot asking price.
The property last sold in 1999 for $3.2 million about five years before the current home was constructed.
