Miami is a common host for extravagant yachts at all times of the year. Track these magnificent vessels and their outlandish toys with Miami Yacht Watch, which typically runs weekly on Curbed Miami.
On today’s edition of Miami Yacht Watch is the Majestic, a 201-foot superyacht sold for $69 million to Bruce Sherman in 2010.
Sherman is the future majority owner of the Miami Marlins who, with partners including Yankees legend Derek Jeter, agreed to purchase the franchise from Jeffrey Loria for an astronomical $1.2 billion in August.
The dazzling vessel was initially delivered to Nancy Walton Laurie, nephew of Walmart founder Sam Walton, according to Super Yacht Fan. Majestic charters for between $455,000 and $490,000 per week and includes a cinema, gym and an array of water toys. Some other yachts we’ve recently featured:
- Gil Dezer’s new boat is a transformer
- The $30M Amore Mio includes an outdoor cinema
- Miami Yacht Watch: $100M ‘Vibrant Curiosity’
