A glitzy oceanfront penthouse in Boca Raton that was sold in May for $8.7 million has popped up on the rental market asking $50,000 a month.
It’s located atop 1000 South Ocean Boulevard, a development that served as a filming location for the recent Baywatch film starring the Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson. The 5,652-square-foot residence is the priciest rental in Boca.
It features three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and approximately 3,000 square feet of wraparound terrace with ocean and lake views, per the listing, which is held by Craig Wertkin of Regency Realty Services. Also included is a separate “Artist Studio” overlooking Lake Boca and the Intracoastal, in addition to an oceanfront cabana and a three-car garage.
Interestingly, records show it’s been sold three times dating back to 2013 for the same exact price each time — $8.704 million. The 2017 closing appears to be the most expensive condo sale in Boca over the last few few years.
