Starting this Saturday, speedy private rail line Brightline is beginning its introductory service to Fort Lauderdale from West Palm Beach. Round-trip fares between the two cities start at $20, as CBSMiami notes. Pay $10 for a one-way ticket in Smart Coach, or $15 for a more spacious seat in Select Coach. Head to Brightline’s website to snag tickets, and to see the schedule.
There’s big plans in store for Brightline, which operates at a top speed of 120 miles per hour and expected operating average of 80 mph. A Miami station is slated to open this year, and eventually the train will run between Miami and Orlando.
There’s a Facebook contest now in honor of the opening weekend: comment below and tag a friend for the chance to win two roundtrip Brightline tickets.
