Yotel, a brand known for its cool micro hotels, is getting into residential units. The new concept is called YotelPad, and YotelPad Miami will be the first location to debut on the East Coast.

YotelPad Miami will be located at 227 NE 2nd Street, and will offer 250 hotel rooms and 208 residential units above the hotel portion of the building. The project is from Aria Development Group and joint venture partner, AQARAT, a real estate company from Kuwait.

Expect to find studio, one and two-bedroom units with prices starting in the $250,000 range. The design looks pretty futuristic too; just look at renderings Yotel posted on Facebook.

Floorplans for the so-called Pads will range from 425 square foot studios to 700 square foot two-bedroom units, and each Pad sounds move-in ready. The press release suggests the units will be fully furnished, with details like top-of-the-line flooring and lighting and terraces with views of downtown Miami.

Plus, residents will be able to take advantage of hotel common areas and restaurant spaces — and there will also be a private penthouse-level that will only be available to residents.

“Downtown Miami is emerging as a high-energy place to live, shop and work,” Principal of Aria Development Group David Arditi said in a press release. “With YotelPad Miami, we are meeting the strong demand for service-oriented, urban-chic apartments. In addition, owners have the unique opportunity to participate in a short-term rental program. Together with the Yotel brand, we are delivering a thoughtful, value-luxury experience in a dynamic location.”
