Buckle in, Miami soccer fans, because the Miami Herald reports there will be a late-January official launch for David Beckham’s Major League Soccer team. That news conference will reportedly includes updates about the Overtown stadium, team name, and preliminary uniform designs.

It’s been a long, bumpy road for Beckham and his business partners Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure and Jorge and Jose Mas. But Jorge Mas sounded very optimistic after meeting with the stadium architects Populous in Kansas City.

Mas told the Miami Herald:

We had super, super productive meetings in KC. I’m very excited for what we can bring the Miami soccer fan, and we’ll have some big news to announce in Miami in the near future. Being a native, I’m a Miami guy 1,000 percent, and I want to make this a really special team with a really special fan experience.

The few stadium details he did share include options like a fan plaza outside the stadium. “We went very detailed into fan demographic needs, sound level, canopies that retain sound, how to angle the stadium, sight lines, everything you can imagine,” Mas told the Herald. Stay tuned.
