The waterfront site on Biscayne Bay that once housed the Miami Herald is going to be home to many more live events.

The owner of the site, Resorts World Miami, kicked off hosting events at the sites with the Art Miami and Context Art Fair in December. Now, Resorts World Miami is bringing in event group Loud and Live to keep the momentum going with a multi-year partnership. The plan is to use Herald Plaza as a venue for music, art, sports, entertainment and art events.

“With its impressive offerings of large-scale space, waterfront setting, stunning views and a central location, Herald Plaza is an ideal event site for lifestyle brands, entertainment, sports properties and global corporations,” CEO of Loud and Live Nelson Albareda said in a press release. “We look forward to securing Herald Plaza its place on the short list of the best event venues internationally and partnering with Resorts World to do so.”

Resorts World Miami previously attempted unsuccessfully to bring a casino to the waterfront site.
