The rumors are true: David Beckham’s long-awaited Miami Major League Soccer team is set to be announced this Monday, and 750 soccers fans will be able to be there in person to hear all about it.
“Miami, you’re invited,” reads the text on the Futbol Miami site, along with all the details for the noon event on Monday at the Adrienne Arsht Center. There’s also a link to reserve free tickets (we couldn’t get it to work, but maybe you’ll have better luck).
Right now, the team is going by the cover name of “Futbol Miami,” according to the Miami Herald, but the actual team name and more details will soon be revealed. There are reportedly 750 free tickets to the public for the event, and if you can’t make it, there will be a live stream at the MLSSoccer site.
