A new report claims that Miami beats out NYC and LA when it comes to the ratios of renter-to-homeowner. The Miami Herald scoped out a study from national apartment search website RentCafe looking at renter versus owner-owned housing in the largest 100 cities by population with data based on US Census Bureau’s public database.
According to RentCafe, only Newark and Jersey City, N.J. beat out the city of Miami when it comes to top cities with the highest renter share.

Of course, Miami’s not alone in this trend: RentCafe found that the growth of the renter population outpaced that of homeowners in most large US cities.
