More props are in order for Miami International Airport. The airport, which earned the title of most transportation-friendly airport in the nation in a study last fall, landed on a new list for the most on-time airports across the globe.
Travel analyst OAG’s 2018 “Punctuality League” report tracked on-time performance for airlines and airports and the top 20 busiest routes, and CBSMiami reports that Miami’s busiest airport came in #12 for punctuality among airports of its size around the world.
OAG’s ranking is based on data from 57 million flight records from 2017. Miami International Airport earned an On-Time Performance of about 79%, which means 79% of flights arrive or depart from the airport within 15 minutes of their scheduled times. See the full ranking for major airports here:
