Fashion designer Tommy Hilfilger’s amazingly colorful Golden Beach mansion is now on sale for $23.5 million, WWD reports — a price cut from the $27.5 million price tag the house had around this time last year. This wild beach house was originally one of the priciest homes in Golden Beach when it was listed last year.
The Hilfigers and famed interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard were very committed to the home’s Pop-Art theme, from Keith Haring sculptures near the infinity pool to scratch-and-sniff fruit-flavored wallpaper.
“I told Martyn, ‘If it’s not shagadelic or groovy, it’s not coming into the house,’” Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger told Architectural Digest back in 2014.
For fashion legend @thomasjhilfiger and his wife, @MrsHilfiger, I designed a wild beach house in Miami—as seen in AD’s September 2015 issue. The joy of working with such creative clients is how willing they are to push the boundaries with truly unique and fearless decorating choices. Tommy’s office was designed to honor the Hilfiger brand, with his signature palette of red, white, and blue used in a Mondrian style on suede-paneled walls and an amazing Jean Dubuffet artwork crowning the space. —@martynbullard | Photo by @thefacinator #designanddecoration #AD100
