If you’re sitting in Miami traffic, the car next to you might be a self-driving Ford. The company announced today that Miami will be its testing ground for autonomous cars, The Verge reports, with the hope that eventually thousands of self-driving cars will be driving around the city.
The testing program is already in process, but Ford won’t reveal how many of its blue-and-white research vehicles with hardware and software technology by Argo are cruising the streets. Self-driving delivery cars for Domino will be tested too. FYI: cars will feature a human “safety driver” as backup, according to the Miami Herald.
