SLS LUX is 100% sold out: the 450-unit luxury tower in Brickell recently sold its final penthouse unit and closing are slated to begin in the coming weeks, according to a release from The Related Group. The development’s hotel and culinary components (like Katsuya by sbe from sushi chef Katsuya Uechi) will open after that.
Arquitectonica handled the architecture for the building, while New York-based studio Yabu Pushelberg is behind SLS Lux’s interiors. Besides eye-catching design, the building includes draws like a rooftop pool, outdoor theatre, rock climbing wall, tennis court, and exclusive access to Hyde Beach at the SLS Hotel South Beach.
There’s also a huge emphasis on art, like a 40,000 square-foot mural on the building’s exterior by famed Argentine artist, Fabian Burgos. The building includes works from Colombian sculptor Fernando Botero and prominent Venezuelan lighting artist Ana Isabel Martinez.
Speaking of, here’s a video capturing the very tricky installation job as the building’s Botero bronze sculpture is moved into its rightful place in front of the building.
