A contemporary stunner on the Venetian Islands in Miami Beach just sold for $17 million. The five-bedroom home was originally listed for $22.5 million, pricing it among the 30 most expensive homes for sale in Miami Beach.

This residence at 8 West Rivo Alto Drive set a few more records with its sale. According to a press rep, the 7,100-square-foot-home closed for about $2,394 per square foot, which makes it the most expensive home per square foot in the history of the Venetian Islands.

It is also the second most expensive sale in the history of the Venetian Islands and the second highest price per square foot for a single family home in all of Miami Beach. The home was listed by Brown Harris Stevens Miami’s Jeff Miller. It is a collaboration between architect Choeff Levy Fischman and interior designer Deborah Wecselman Design.

Miller found a buyer within six months for the 7,026-square-foot home, which boasts 107 feet of frontage along Biscayne Bay and includes contemporary art and custom furnishings.

“This home is unlike anything else on the market. Its location, views and design made it a rare opportunity. It is a trophy, must-have home so we knew from day one we just had to find the right buyer,” Miller said in a release. “My team and I looked at our network and did a few strategic showings. Within a few days we’d started a phenomenal word of mouth campaign throughout local and international circles. The interest that led to this sale originated within the first week of the home being listed allowing us to quickly find the perfect buyer and exceed the expectations of the sellers.”
