Demolition spotted at Arquitectonica’s Babylon Apartments

Look away, fans of Arquitectonica’s first building: The Next Miami spotted that demolition is in progress on the iconic Brickell building. Miami commissioners voted in January to overturn the building’s protected architectural landmark status.

Photos on the blog show the building looking out of sorts, and The Next Miami reports that a Notice of Commencement for demolition was filed on February 15, and that a permit for total demolition was approved last month.
