This weekend’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami starts today, and getting downtown is going to be trickier than usual.
7 News Miami reports the following road closures.
- All Biscayne Boulevard northbound traffic will be rerouted to the southbound lanes at Southeast First Street
- Southbound traffic on Biscayne Boulevard will be rerouted eastbound and westbound at Northeast Sixth Street.
- There will be no southbound traffic on Biscayne Boulevard south of Northeast Sixth Street.
Miami officials are eager to get concertgoers to ditch their cars to get to the festival: Anyone heading to Ultra can spend $2.25 on a one-way Metrorail ticket to get to the Government Center Station, NBC6 reports, and then take a free ride on Metromover’s Inner Loop to the College/Bayside, First Street or Bayfront Park Metromover station. Uber is also setting up a 10-block designated ride-sharing section from Northeast 5th Street to Southeast 1st Street between Northeast 2nd and Miami Avenues.
