The Miami Beach mansion of Grammy-winning pop star Shakira is back on the market with a new, lower asking price.
The 8,700-square-foot waterfront property returns with a number of aesthetic improvements such as new hardwood floors, custom minimalist furnishings, and a hookah lounge as a nod to the Colombian-born singer’s Lebanese heritage.
Other notable features include a heated outdoor pool overlooking a 100-foot water frontage along Biscayne Bay, an all-white billiards table, and a combination home gym/dance studio.
Shakira first listed the home in 2013 for $14.95 million. The price was then reduced to $13.9 million in 2015 before the listing was removed in 2016.
The bright contemporary mansion returned earlier this month seeking just shy of $11.6 million. Listing agents are Antonio Mebarak, Shakira’s brother, and Ana Lourdes Martinez—both with Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
Even after factoring in the lower asking price and the numerous upgrades put into the home, Shakira is still likely to make a handy profit on the six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom property. The musician purchased the home in 2001 for $3.38 million.
