Derek and Lisa Vander Ploeg, an architect and interior designer who respectively head Vander Ploeg & Associates and VPA Interior Design, are seeking $4.875M for their striking Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home in Boca Raton.

Known as “Dos Lunas,” the four-bedroom, seven-bathroom residence features both nods to Wright’s midwestern Prairie School of design as well as the famous architect’s temple-like Ennis House in Los Angeles. The latter is most clearly reflected in the waterfront home’s sandstone exterior and geometric interior tiles.

Completed in 2006 following a three-year design and construction period, the Boca Raton home features a sunken double-height living room, a separate wing for the master suite, an architect’s drafting table, a three-car garage, and an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Ploegs’ “Dos Lunas” hit the market earlier this month. The home is listed by Jeff Wilson of Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
