After roughly a year and a half on the market, a 7,700-square-foot home belonging to former NBA star Charlie Villanueva has sold for $2.25 million. The retired power forward purchased the Davie property for roughly the same amount in 2015, prior to the home’s completion the following year.

Boasting six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, the resort-like estate features mainly white, gray, and red decor throughout with amenities including a glass pneumatic vacuum elevator, home office, theater room, billiard room, sauna, and a pool with water slides, an outdoor kitchen, and a hot tub. The master suite also sports a large walk-in closet with, unsurprisingly, space for many pairs of basketball shoes.

The home was listed for as high as $3.5 million early last year. It took a series of price reductions to its most recent asking price of $2.45 million. Agents Mario Stocco and Marc Brandt of Douglas Elliman Real Estate represented the retired NBA player in the $2.25 million transaction.

Villanueva, now 33, started his professional basketball career at age 20 with the Toronto Raptors in 2005. He went on to play for the Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons before ending his NBA career with the Los Angeles Clippers in 2015.
