Former Formula 1 racer lists contemporary Fisher Island residence for $7.8M

After less than one year in his latest Miami Beach digs, retired Brazilian race car driver Enrique Bernoldi has listed his three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom condo for $7.8 million.

One of 43 units in Fisher Island’s Palazzo Del Sol building, the nearly 3,800-square-foot home sports a contemporary interior from designer Christina Leon. It features architectural wooden accent walls in the foyer and between the dining room and den. The home has two outdoor terraces and a children's room with a pair of sleek race car beds.

Bernoldi, 39, raced for the Arrows Formula 1 team during the 2001 and 2002 seasons before serving as a test driver for the BAR Honda team from 2004 to 2006. He went on to compete in the Indianapolis 500, the GT1 World Championship, and the Brazilian stock car series.

The retired racer and his wife Luisa reportedly paid $6.5 million for the Fisher Island home late last year. The couple moved from a 2,508-square-foot unit in Miami Beach’s Continuum building that sold for $6 million. The properly was listed with The Jills Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate.
