The Frost Museum of Science has officially opened its doors this morning in downtown Miami, holding a dedication ceremony commemorating the unveiling of the 250,000-square-foot project.
With the Frost Museum of Science finally opening this May in downtown Miami, the highly anticipated educational space at Museum Park has announced another element to its upcoming operation: An innovative floating environmental lab in the form of the Miami Science Barge.
The Frost Museum of Science is scheduled to open in downtown Miami to the public in May, with tickets already on sale on the highly anticipated museum’s website.
The Frost family -- who had already donated $45 million to the project -- kindly provided the museum with a bridge loan until the county came up with a plan to move forward. That plan just hatched as Miami-Dade Commissioners passed a $49M bailout.
