Where Drake filmed his inspiring “God’s Plan” video in Miami

He gave away his entire $1 million video budget

We could really use some good news this week, so thank goodness for Drake. Today, the rapper posted the video for his song “God’s Plan” that he’s been filming around Miami this month. Instead of shooting on the beach or on a yacht or in a nightclub, Drake decided to give his entire video budget away to Miami residents.

“The budget for this video was $996,631. 90,” the video’s opening title card read. “We gave it all away. Don’t tell the label.” Then it’s all footage of Drake surprising residents all over the city from Little Haiti to the University of Miami with checks, cars, and even stacks of cash.

Check out the map below to see where Drake filmed some of his good deeds in Miami, which he calls “the most important thing I have done in my career.” Watch the video below (just be prepared for happy tears).
