Ten Miami Vice Locales That Haven't Changed Much, Mapped

View as Map

Miami Vice, that classic Miami TV show that sort of defined what Miami was to the world (and to Miamians themselves) more than any other, hit the boob tube thirty years ago this year. To commemorate the big 3-0, Foursquare, that app that tells people where they are, delved into its databases to to find some Miami Vice filming locations that are still around, more or less. The blockbuster TV show's influence upon Miami in its five season run was momentous, exposing it to the world but also picking, and sometimes fully fabricating, Miami's "best" parts. And by best we mean longest wheelbase, largest cup size, most-padded shoulders, sexiest guns, and most exotic architecture. But that was Miami Vice.
